Renee Rouleau Talks to the San Francisco Chronicle
San Francisco Chronicle—Over the years I've been mesmerized by miracle skin products from antiaging creams and wrinkle-reducing formulas to glycolic peels and seaweed masks. But, according to Dallas-based aesthetician Renee Rouleau, "Serums, masks, eye cream ... are all bells and whistles. They don't count if you don't get the basics right."

Arts District Suite at Fairmont
In preparation for the opening of the Dallas Center for the Performing Arts, the nearby Fairmont hotel has created an Arts District Suite.
In addition to posters from arts organizations, the room includes a library of DVDs and CDs of local performances, including Maria Callas' appearance with what was then called the Dallas Civic Opera.
Star Trek's George Takei (Sulu) stayed in the suite last weekend while in town to speak to supporters of the Crow Collection of Asian Art.

The Passing of Two Icons
What a downer yesterday was! Two icons from the 70s & 80s passing in the same day. I'm not ashamed to admit I owned that Farrah poster, and I had Thriller on *ahem* cassette (yeah I'm that old).
Hopefully some good news will happen today to balance things.

Noodle Ecstasy
OK, we're not kidding when we say Tei An is an amazing dining experience. If you haven't been out, you really need to get off your tush and try something delicious. It's a lot cheaper than flying to Tokyo.
