Elizabeth Anyaa Exhibit Closes This Weekend

If you haven't yet been by the One Arts Plaza lobby to see this spectacularly beautiful exhibit by local textile designer Elizabeth Anyaa, come by! She has several felt pieces on exhibit, a few which include crystals that sparkle magnificently in the lobby light. So come on out to see the exhibit and enjoy this glorious Spring weather by sitting on one of our patios sipping on a Margarita or eating a mouth-watering burger or any delicious food from our five restaurants. Log onto www.ArtsDistrictDining.com to reserve.

Another Nomination for Beard Award

We are soooo proud that once again, our very own Teiichi Sakurai of Tei-An Japanese restaurant has been selected as a semi-finalist in the category of "Best Chef: Southwest" for the James Beard Foundation Awards. This is his third nomination to this honorable, national award. As one of only three, 5-star restaurants in Dallas, Teiichi has really created an authentic Japanese Soba House. If you haven't been so lucky to try his white seaweed salad, his curry soba (many flavors are available but this is my fav), or his home-made soba ice cream, then wait no more. Log onto www.ArtsDistrictDining.com to make your reservation today. (Plus, with this gorgeous weather, you can enjoy his rooftop lounge - a true hidden gem in Dallas Arts District).

DMA Late Night - Gaultier Style

Last Friday evening the Dallas Museum of Art hosted their monthly Friday Late Night (3rd Friday of the Month, open til midnight). It was so incredibly exciting to see thousands (literally thousands) of people of ALL ages walking up and down the corridors, enjoying the music, food, exhibits and all the fun and interesting activities the DMA has put together. I was so impressed! With the Gaultier exhibit closing in a few weeks there were tons of women dressed up in the most fabulous avante-garde outfits...so fun to see so many people expressing themselves this way. Above is a picture I captured of a girl who had Diet Coke cans as rollers. Too fun!

Below is a lovely quote projected in light on a small entrance that I found so simple, beautiful and appropriate for the evening.
