Tomorrow evening, 5 star Chef Teiichi Sakurai is offering an exclusive summer 5-course dinner pairing with Champagne. The menu consists of caviar aperitif with Mumm Napa Brut Prestige, Tom Spicer Micro Green Salad with Smoked Monkfish and Schramsberg Blanc de Noris, Sashimi with Citrus Sauce and Domaine Carneros Brut, Whitefish with Sea Urchin Butter Sauce (yum) paired with Perrier Jouet Grand Brut, Lobster Chawa Mushi with Summer Truffle (yum again) and Nicolas Feulillate Blanc de Blancs, Epernay. And finally, the fifth course will be Green Tea Soba with Kobe Beef and Taittinger Prestige Rose, Reims, NV. Oh, and dessert. Mouthful huh?

Summer Sunday's Lobster Bake - The Commissary

Summer Block Party - Tonight



Come out tonight to the SUMMER BLOCK PARTY in the Arts District, on the western end of Flora Street starting at 6 pm 'til midnight. There will be a free screening of the film "O Brother Where Art Thou?" at The Nasher with a live Blue Grass band, free exhibits, food carts, children's activites and tons o tons of fun! Plus it's summer and it's about being outside & enjoying your Arts District neighborhood (will be much cooler than daytime). "THE TABLE" opens tonight





Riding on the coattails of the successfull opening of The Commissary, Chef Tesar is officially opening THE TABLE tonight! It's a separate but attached 12-seat chef's tasting restaurant, similar to what he had at The Mansion on Turtle Creek. This private and cozy dining room has one large, beautiful thick wooden table that seats 12 with views of the Arts District and downtown Dallas. It's communal too which makes it even more fun because you can meet new, interesting people who are sharing a fantastic meal. Sounds pretty good to me. Multi-course menus start at $55. Call the Reservation Hotline at 469-600-4660 and Chef Tesar will personally answer your call to discuss the evening's menu and answer any questions. The Commissary Now Open For Lunch

Drum roll please.... yes, the newest addition to One Arts Plaza's dining destination is now open. The Commissary is officially opening its doors for dinner tomorrow evening with lunch following next week. These chef-inspired burgers (made with organic, grass-fed beef) are priced at $5 - $8+. There's another unique twist to it as well: the bar is offering wine on tap! It's the only restaurant in the area offering this new trendy experience. TONIGHT - Hunter Sullivan's Big Band Tsunami Relief Concert



Tonight, our much beloved Dallas jazz musician, Hunter Sullivan and his magnificent 14-piece orchestra will perform a FREE concert on the plaza to raise funds for the recent vicitims of Japan. The concert will start at 6:30 pm and run until 9:30 pm. The plaza will be closed off for pedestrian-only use and valet will be rerouted. Donations to the Tsunami Relief Fund will be accepted throughout the evening and can also be made online on the Dallas Japanese Association's website. It's free, it's open to the public and it's for a great cause. Help us spread the word and come on out to enjoy the patios, fountains, restaurants and forecasted nice weather (finger's crossed/April 7th is alternate rain date).

Jean-Michel Costeau, son of the famous, French explorer Jacques Cousteau, will be in Dallas tonight for a lecture at the Winspear Opera House at 8 p.m. He's a tireless advocate in the world's ocean environment, producing films, meeting with policymakers and world leaders and designing artificial floating islands, schools and other projects. For more than four decades he has dedicated himself to communicate his love and concern for our water planet.

Tei-An Opens Rooftop for Super Bowl Week
